Soprano

Biography

Laura Jobin-Acosta is a New York-based soprano whose work spans oratorio, opera, and choral performance at the highest level. As a soloist, her engagements include Haydn's Seven Last Words of Christ, Saint-Saëns' Oratorio de Noël, Bach's Magnificat, Handel's Judas Maccabeus and Samson, and Dvořák's Mass. She has performed Bach's Mass in B minor internationally in Vienna, Munich, and throughout Israel and Palestine with the International Choir for Peace, and created the title role in Kris Kirk's chamber opera Persephone at SUNY Purchase.

A member of the New York Philharmonic Chorus since 2022, Laura also sings with the Bard Festival Chorale and the Unsung Collective. She serves as Section Leader and Soloist with Canterbury Choral Society and Calvary-St. George's Episcopal Church.
